The same qualities that make Aruba such a sought after cruise port, also make it an excellent holiday destination of its own. Miles of soft white sand beaches run like ribbons along its western coast and it enjoys year-round low humidity and daytime temperatures that linger in the high 20’s. For many, this is enough.
Aruba offers so much more; as beautiful as its capital city of Oranjestad is, with its doll-house style pastel-coloured homes dressed in sweet orange, cappuccino, plum and eggshell and trimmed in ornate gabled roofs, the island’s real beauty lies in its interior. You’ll find a countryside that is surprisingly varied for its size, ranging from rocky moonscapes to cactus jungles and pleasantly secluded coves.
The resorts in Aruba are luxurious, the dining is first-class and the casinos are well equipped. Other diversions include diving, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing and windsurfing.
